Sorri guys. Due to finacial difficulty my parents is facing, I will have to find some real work soon. So, I won't be going to Sl that often any more and mostly, I wont be coming in at all.

Until I have finally find some work, then will I continue in doing my clothes in SL or logging in.

Oh man. I have been real busy with RL and other things that I have no time to update my blog. Even recently, I might not be able to log into SL....

I will try to log in when I have the time as well as the complete the clothing design that people have been requesting. ;-)

Oh well...so for now, there isn't any big updates for the moment.

Bleach & Kingdom hearts

I have finished with my new clothes with design based on the hit anime bleach as well as the hit game of kingdom hearts II.

The standard uniform that the shingami wear are now up in my mini market. While I have made the nobodies outfit as well as an outfit from raijin based in KH2.

I am planning on making Kairi sweet dress but I lack of a complete picture of her front side and back. But anyway, come on down and take a look when you are in SL.

These clothes was created for the purpose of roleplaying in the respective parcel while at the same time, it is also like cosplaying in real life. Please consult with the GM of the area you want to roleplay in weather they allowed such clothes or character in the area or not as different parcel have different rules.

While I created them with the intention of roleplaying, you can also wear them as normal clothing since they looks so cool.

If you have no idea what kingdom hearts is, I got a short introducing video below. It is from the starting CG intro from the game, Kingdom hearts 2.

The formula that always seem to work

I have noticed this for quite a while now. From the internet to youtube, from MMORPG to Second life. While each of them seem to be very different from one another but the fact is, they are prety much the same concept to me.

If you noticed, the creator of the internet browser system that lets you serve the web and go to web address are mainly responsible in making it possible. The creator of the internet are not the guys who created those beautiful webpage. They are not the guys who created google, or yahoo search engine. In fact, they are not even the guys who created the thosands or even million of webpage that are out there in the world wide web!! They are not the one who did it. You did. What they do is to make an enviroment for us to create our creation and to showcase to the world.

The same goes for youtube. Those guys who created youtube only make it possible that we can upload our video to their created enviroment. They are not the one who created the contents of youtube, they are not the one who make youtube so interesting, what they did was only to make it all possible for us to create our creation and to showcase to the world.

What about MMORPG and Second life?
Linden Labs are not the guys who created the mighty castle you see somewhere in some God forsaken islands. Neither are they the ones who make those beautiful clothes that you might be wearing now. What they did was merely to create an enviroment possible for us to bring our creation to light and to showcase to the whole world.

So, did you noticed the link?
These successful people are not even resposible for the contents of their work. What they did is to maintain the enviroment, fixed any bugs that it might have and to introuduce new feature so that people can have more toys to play with and added into their own creation.

But does this always work? I have no idea...but I do know that the world have an endless supply of enthusaistic people that are willing to spend their time and effort in showing their own creation. You might say that SL resident do it for money while most of them do it for fun. What about blogging then?
The creators of blogger, do they even write any blog entry?

And so, any thing or product that encourage the mass to participate in will surprisingly be successful after all. Nowadays, people are getting tired of playing with NPC or AI in games. They want more closer contacts with the people from around the world. Just like Msn that can bring people closer together but Secondlife can bring people even close as you can even play with them instead of just tallking.

As you see, in these changing world. Something just never seem to change. While games are getting better nowadays and we are getting closer to one another in every new creation and invention, this formula will never seem to change.

So look out for the next big thing, maybe bigger than second life and you will once again see this same formula. The concept is the same, what is different is only the added feature and stuff that we can never do before. Msn can only talk and play, while SL can do lots of other things as well...so what could be next?

Such is the nightmare of Linden labs and could jolly well be the reason of their contiuing adding of new feature instead of stabilisng the system. Who knows? Maybe the sky will fall on their head tommorow when suddenly, somewhere out there came a next big things called " Third Life "

Which school did you attend?

Since Sl is down, I guess I will write a few things here as I have not been updating my blog since...eons ago. Hahaha

Well...one thing that I discovered is that although SL try to look similar to RL, there is sill one big difference between these 2 and this big difference really is a very BIG difference.

In real life. Everything is about your qualification. What is the highest qualification you have? Which school you attended? Even though you may have a colourful certificate in your hand. But someone with lousy marks and who attended a higher education than you can still win you over your colourful certificate.

Maybe you are good at ABC, you know all 26 alphabets. But the other person is learning grammer and sentences. While he may not be good in it, the fact is...his certificate is more valuable than yours.

In fact, now people are employing people with higher qualification level and it seem that there is no end to the limit of how high they want. Many big companies are willing to pay for talents and their means of searching for talents is to first look at their qualification.

But yet. The world is not about qualification anymore. It may ensure that you could get a job but it cannot ensure that you get that job for life.

A few years back..prehaps 10 to 12 years ago. The concept of talking on a computer screen is so weird that people laugh at you when you tell them it is possible. Video conference is nothing new nowadays right?

How about this? What if 5 years ago. I tell you that everyone can take their phone or video camera and could take video of actual footage at the right place and at the right time for that prized video that may determine everything ! What if they can upload to a website and share to the whole world? Youtube is nothing new nowadays right?

But think. What if you got a degree for this line of work? A photographer? A jornalist? Or someone working in the newspaper industry? What will happened to you? yeah...your cert DID land you into a job but can it last you for life?

Creativity is a powerful tools that many people are using. I think only about 3 people with some great ideas invented youtube. Their invention almost cause many peopke to lose their ricebowl.

How about blogging? Why are you reading these? I believed that there are people who are more highly skilled in writing, much more better than me is out there writing their article. They wrote for money, I wrote for fun. They got their limit on what to say and what not to say but I am my own limit. I choose what to say and think what is not apporiate.

As you can see. Certificate give you steady income but not for life. Creativity makes a big impact....and in SL, it is more of creativity and not certificate.

If you got the skill, if you are truly good at what you are doing. What are you afraid of? If you think you cannot get a job in RL and is able to make things in SL, I believed that you can make it big. one day

As long as you have the skill, SL is there for you.

That is what I have been doing. Trying to put what I know, the skill that I learned and to applied it in SL. I do not need to tell anyone how high my qualification is, all I need is to show my work and my work is my everything in SL.

The Bangle of Eternal Love

Some background infomation on the Trinity Circle and the design:

It was tough

Recently, those who knew me might have been wondering why is it that I have not been in SL these few days. Well, I sort of felt intimidated by all the great design that those designner have put up on their blog and botique. Their work is so good that I really start to doubt my own capability on making clothes.

Everytime, I sat in front of my computer, I felt reluctant to continue designing and making clothes. I was doing a new gown since I have not try one before but seeing the design of other designner's gown, I just kind of give up really.

I don't feel like doing any design related work nor even want to go to SL and so while I have been slacking these few days, I came across a series of conversation on some website. Part of what it said is these.

student: I sometimes feel down and intimidated after looking at great artworks by great artists. Is this normal?
Teacher: Very normal.

student: Am I the only one who is feeling this way?
Teacher: I was one.

student: Wow. How did you got out of it?
Teacher: By simply changing the way I look at things.

student: It must be hard isn't it? But why do we feel intimidated?
Teacher: We feel that way because we don't see the big picture.

student: What is the 'big picture'?
Teacher: The big picture is that anyone can do anything regardless of age, race or gender. By ignoring this you are ignoring what you're capable of.

Student: Then why I can't do it?
Teacher: You don't have the right mentality yet, it's all in the mind. To say that someone is skilled is actually saying the person is thoughtful. Without a single thought what can you do? With the right thoughts what is there you cannot do?

Prehaps, it is true that they put in lots of thoughts into creating what they have today. Thoughts like, is this colour nice? Is that design suitable and such...

While I have been thinking on these problems these few days, I suddenly realised something. Why is hello kitty, a design so simple would cause such a great pheonema around the world where people wanted to buy them. Why did Tetsuya Nomura, the Director of Kingdom heart wanted to seek out Disney so that he can add in their character into the game? Why add a design that is so simple when you compared it to his own creation.

All these have given me some insight these few days on why Disney can archive success. Since it was a light being shone onto me brightening my path, let me hold on to it and proceed what I was doing and to finish it before July 20.

Thus I have said, so it shall be done.

Life Is Hard

I remember that about 2 weeks ago, I noticed that a wasp have built a tiny nest at my curtain in my room. Soon, the nest gets bigger as the wasp keep adding more and more section to it. Until it finally become something like a Cross. '+'

Then something bad happen. I remembered it was at night at that time when I go and check the nest. I was horrified when I saw hundred of ants start to crawl towards the nest with the top section, "head' of the cross having a small hole. Quickly, I took down the curtain and try my best to help the babies where they are totally defenceless against the predator.

But nothing can be done to help the top section. I try to use a pincer to block the hole so that no more ants can get inside while at the same time, trying to get the ants from the inside to come out. When I sensed that it is hopeless for the top, and as the hole was getting bigger due to my clumsy action, I break open the top section to find many ants crawling around those little babies and all were dead.

When I break open the top section, I realised that each section is on its own and you cannot get to the other section even if you entered the first one. But they are joined together to form a cross.

So by knowing that, I also realsied that the rest of the section are safe. But my clumsy action have torn apart the space between the nest and the curtain revealing some tiny hole that was supposed to be joined with the curtain.

I try to fight with the ants and get those that I can see out from the nest. Covering the nest with a small plastic container so that no ants can enter. Seeing that they are safe for the time being, I went to sleep.

As Morning arrived, I was again, horrified that those ants can squeeze through the container ! Regreted that I did not put any hard object on the container, I try to do my best to save all that is left.

But...most of the section with tiny holes were all crawling with ants and many of these babies didn't get the chance to experience life is already dead.

In the end, I took out what is left which is only 2 section left that is around the stomach area of the Cross.... and put them on a container surrounded by water. Even so...I did not realsied that one of the section has an ant inside. I thought I have save many of them but in the end, I sace only 2 wasp babies. I watch them as they grow and to prevent all the predators from coming. Even lizard, birds and spider are some of the predators that i saw crawling in my room. But all have been chased away by me.

As time goes by, they turn into wasp and flew off to experience life as they knew it. even then, I am still worried about the obstacle that they would to encountered.

Life is hard. Living is hard. Making a living is hard. Nothing is ever easy. I have been thinking about this all these while. Even trying to survive in this world like these wasp is hard for them.

Every little insect is fighting hard for their survival while we throw our life away at the most stupid reason that we can find. Everyone is killing themself. Either delibrately or unknowingly. Fast or slow. By jumping off that building or by eating and drinking hazardeous food to health or by smoking, taking drugs or even sleep late at night.

Nothing seem to be easy at all. Everyhing that we do take lots of times to see the fruits of our hardwork. I guess it is the same as me in SL. What I have set out to do and whether I can make a name for myself all depends on the time that I spent.

Nothing is easy. Life is hard to live and money is still damn hard to earn. >.<

Finally, I have been able to upload all my national outfit design that I have done to a new space in a freemarket. I have decided to discontinue on the old store from Ravenglass Rentals due to a very unpleseant experience from working with them. I can say that they have very poor customer services.

Anyway, I have upload all the design from some of the Major Country that I have for the National Outfit. Some of the Major Country from around the world in no order of whatsoever include, USA, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Australia.

RL been catching up on me.
After attending the wedding ROM at Saturday, we went to Pulau Ubin to play and a day after that, went out together with my cousin that I have not met for a long time.

As for the national outfit that I have been doing, I think I will have to put them on hold first until I get some credit in my account. Currently, I have done South Korea, Australia and United State but lack of funds to upload them and to complete the desgin

So yeah...thats nothing much I can do now.

Due to a very unplesant experience working with Ravenglass rentals, I have stop renting a shop over there and move to a new location in Isle of intrigue. See you there.

I am working on united State as I speak.

Finally !! I managed to rent out a store at a afforable price...a rather mini store while I have been designing and uploading new clothes to my mini store !! ^^

Argh!! I am still so poor...TT

Althought Free market is a temporary solution for me to selll my items, I cannot rely on them for too long. Even now....I do not know if the items that I am selling is either too expensive...or the person who likes my design is just not there to see it. Argh..hell, I wonder who will even stepped into a free market to look at things to buy....TT Not only that....I have been thinking that most copybot user are likely to be selling their pirated stuff at free market too. Which means that if they were to see my item......Argghhh HELL!!!!

Rent a store? Easier said than done.
With my new debit card coming in a few weeks time, renting anything is totally out of the question for now. But even if I can finally rent out a store, but for me to just sell one or 2 items will be too weird.

Either way...the market is flooding with ladies clothing because most user of SL are ladies
While there are indeed man's clothing out there, it is still not enough as the ppl that Ihave met and discuss with all complained about not enough clothes for them.

And of course...what is not enough for them is a business opportunity for me ^^

Prehaps it is wise for me to design a few more clothes...preferably mans clothing and then proceed to sell them if I manage to get a store.

But still....the upload fees are a heavy burden...TT
The only way for me to get them is to dance , dance and dance. TT

Money is damn hard to earn

It's true. Money is that damn hard to earn...TT Even now, I am struggling by dancing my arse off to make that puny 2 L dollar per 10 minutes.

After having a conversation with 2 ladies that I met at Singapore ( surprised that there is one ) in SL. One is mayo while the other is electricteeth. I can't recall their full name though....but they do provide me with variable insights on what the consumer wants as well as info on the current market.

At first, I thought that flexi skirt is pretty common nowadays and shouldn't be that popular now but I was wrong. They told me that I can sell it for quite a high price if my dress is a flexi skirt.

And so...here I am dancing my arse off trying to make some money to upload the texture I needed for the flexi skirt....as well as to upload a new package design after I have included it in the sale box.

But then...I am still very new in all these area and may need more time to learn everything that SL have to offered. Even flexi skirt....I doubt if my work is really up to the standerd...but I will try and improve on it.

The next big problem is pricing. Just how much should I be charging so that the whole package won't appeared too expensive or too cheap... I looked around and saw certain quality products are quite cheap while others are quite expensive. It's rather difficult for me to gauge and feel the right price for my product. So for now, I am pricing my Sweet butterfly for just 200 L... and if I can include the flexi skirt in it. I believed 200 L shld be worth the price.

Sweet Butterfly

If you are tired of seeing all the beautiful and glamorous dress that are out there in the market, if you want something a bit simple but yet stylish at the same time, I present to you this desgin of mine which I call it sweet butterfly.

With the design pattern based on the wings of the beautiful butterfly at the back and a simple ribbon tied around your hip as a belt, this tubetop and mini skirt is preferably great for any business meeting if you are sick of the standard business outfit or if you just want to dress pretty at any event.

For just 200 L, you will get a tubetop and a mini dress together with a ribbon belt.
So come on down to my freemarket, UNDER THE BOARDWALK MALL to take a look at my product. and go to Petit Tomato House to find a matching shoe while at the same time, not forgetting Natalia Sirena for a matching hair. ^^

On a final note, special thanks to Natalia for giving us such great tutorial on making stuff in SL. Without her, most of the things you see here would not be possible. Because I will still be trying
out things and figuring out what is what in SL.

UPDATE !!!

I have included a flexi skirt inside this package of Sweet Butterfly with no added cost !!
With just 200 L, not only can you get a tubetop with the normal skirt, you will be given a flexi skirt to match the normal skirt as well as a ribbon belt !!!

So hurry down to UNDER THE BOARDWALK MALL where it will be displayed for a limited time before the land baron cleared them all away on a weekly basics.

By the way, I am very new to this line of work...and this flexi skirt is my first attempt.
So please please please forgive me if you do not like it. I hope I can make a better one next time. >.<

Start of a New Leaf

Finally...

After a few days of hard work and weeks of figuring out what is what in SL, I have finally able to upload my design.....that is, after a long struggle for that tiny sum of 10 L which is equailvent to a few cents of US dollar that most people dun give a shit about.

Now. At least, I have finally realised the meaning behind...
"money is hard to earn".

After some minor adjustment, I should be able to put it up for sale at a freemarket....and yes. I am still that poor in SL for me to afford renting a shop.

Hope things will turn out well...and if I can even sell it to just 1 person, I would have 20 times of uploading fee for me to upload my next desgin which is currently under production.

Who will be my savior? Will it be you? ^^
